So this is me, splashing in the Atlantic Ocean on our recent vacation to Florida. I love the beach.
This is also me. I am a writer, blogger, Mary Kay lady and image consultant. I speak, teach and lead workshops and retreats. My passion is helping women live UP to their God-given potential. I talk about that on TabithaDumas.com

And here's the fam.
The boys are 10 and 6. |
My husband and I have been married for 13 years and reside in the east Phoenix valley. Our boys never cease to delight and surprise us and we enjoy our quiet family life. We are 'trying' for #3 right now so check out that page (click here) if you want to follow along.
{Awaiting the arrival of our second son, April 2009}
And here's the story of how I got here.
I call the process of becoming a mother "The Journey of Motherhood" and it starts at puberty and ends at menopause. No young woman expects to have a surprise pregnancy, a miscarriage, fertility issues, a traumatic birth experience or the myriad of other "bumps in the road" on their journey to becoming a mother. If you've experienced a "bump" (or have been hit by a semi truck) please know that you are not alone and God can and will work it out for good in your life.
Romans 8:28: "And we know all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose."
If you are still reeling from what happened to you, please contact me right away. I don't want you to go another minute without the HOPE that God has to offer.
My own experience had a few glitches along the way (hormonal imbalance, the Pill making me miserable, a homebirth turned emergency hospital transfer) but the BIG detour was a miscarriage in 2008 that turned my life inside out.
The event itself was relatively minor but the effect it had on me was profound and I realized that so many women experience similar crisis points that leave them feeling alone, fearful, angry or confused (and often all of the above).
These women--all of us, in fact--need a friend on the journey and the encouragement to keep moving forward. That's why I created this blog.
I happen to love all things fertility, pregnancy, birth and baby and enjoy sharing my experiences (good and bad).
Whether you've experienced a "bump on the road"
and need to be reminded that you are not alone,
or are just starting your journey toward becoming a mother
and want an idea of what to expect,
I hope you find something useful here.
I love helping women in whatever way I can so PLEASE let me know if I can help you! I would be thrilled to answer your questions or let you "pick my brain." If I can't help you, I will point you toward someone who can.
HAVE YOUR OWN STORY TO TELL about your "bump in the road?" Contact me about publishing it here so other women can benefit from your experience.
